Felicia Bermudez is a San Francisco native and marketing executive with over 20 years of leadership experience at companies including IBM, Cloudflare, and Cloudera. As one of only 2% of Latinas in tech leadership positions, she has navigated the complex intersection of poverty, policy, and professional advancement. A former NCAA Division I athlete and first-generation college graduate, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and is a recent graduate from The Book Academy. Felicia is pursuing an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign. She maintains an active social media presence as @free_lunch_kid on TikTok and through her Substack publication focusing on policy analysis and tips to escape generational poverty. She is a wife and mother of three, but mostly busy as a rescuer of huskies.
Felicia is currently completing her debut nonfiction book, which combines her personal narrative with incisive policy analysis examining the structural factors that shape family trajectories. Her unique perspective as someone who navigated from qualifying for free lunch programs in underfunded Bay Area schools to becoming a marketing leader offers rare insight into both the barriers and possibilities within American economic mobility. This lived experience, combined with her executive expertise, positions her as a distinctive voice on the intersection of policy, opportunity, and personal resilience.
